Where can you stay and eat in Laxe?
We have a lot of restaurants and hotels for your stay in our village.
Laxe has a lot of places to enjoy your holidays. For example, Hotel Bahia, with its restaurant, is very famous in this village because of the good service that offers. The Death's Coast is a famous gastronomic area in Galicia, and one of the best in Spain.
Laxe also has a very interesting gastronomic history. Before this century, Laxe's economy was centred in fish (as it is a fishing village) and there used to be fish markets and bars.
Now there are more bars than fish markets. However, fishing is very important for this village yet.
These are some caractheristics of the best restaurants, services and hotels that we have. Hotel Playa de Laxe , Bahia Burguer , Casa Do Arco and Zürich .
The members of this group has done a quiz to old people from Laxe about the gastronomy before and now.
according to the results, in the 20th century, Laxe had some taverns and a lot of fishing markets. Then, we asked about Laxe now and people told us: "Laxe hasn't changed too much. There are only more bars; the economy is already focused on fishing ".
